Akira Levy Named AAC Player of the Week

CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati junior point guard Akira Levy has earned AAC Player of the Week honors for her performances in the Bearcats' first two games of the season. This is Levy's first AAC honor of her career.

CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati junior point guard Akira Levy has earned AAC Player of the Week honors for her performances in the Bearcats' first two games of the season. This is Levy's first AAC honor of her career.

In the Bearcats' first game of the season against Alabama A&M, Levy led the team with six assists and four steals while also scoring 12 points in the Bearcats' 73-60 victory.

On Friday against Bellarmine, the junior played 33 minutes and led the team with 18 points and nine assists while also recording four more steals.

She currently ranks first in the AAC in steals with eight, first in assists with 15, and leads the Bearcats' team so far with a total of 30 points.

The Bearcats host an afternoon matinee for Education Day in Fifth Third Arena against Ohio University. Tipoff is at 11 a.m. ET and the game will air on ESPN+.
