ESPN's College GameDay is making its Cincinnati debut Saturday before football's 3:30 p.m. Homecoming matchup with Tulsa. The show will air on ESPN from 9 a.m. to noon. Maybe you want to stay home so you can watch each segment and hear what ESPN's analysts have to say about the Bearcats.
But maybe you're a diehard and want the full experience: getting your sign on TV, rocking face paint, and pleading for Lee Corso to don the Bearcat head.
If you're in the latter group, this guide is for you. Here's what you need to know:
If you have a Bearcats flag on a 30-foot pole, you'll have our admiration but you won't be allowed in The Pit. You can still stand outside the fence and have a shot at getting on TV. To enter The Pit, you'll need to show your signs to ESPN for approval––nothing explicit or political is allowed, but also no blank signs or markers, and no signs or flags on poles.
Be aware that none of these GameDay props will be allowed into Nippert Stadium for the game. You'll want to either return them to your vehicle or properly dispose of them after the show to be allowed entry into the stadium. Get on TV In addition to appearing on ESPN during College GameDay on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., there are more live TV opportunities for fans to show their passion to America:
Additional live shots from The Commons:
Friday, 3:00 p.m. - ESPN's College Football Live
Saturday, 7:45 a.m. - ABC's Good Morning America
Saturday, 8:05 a.m. - ESPN SportsCenter
Saturday, 8:30 a.m. - ESPN SportsCenter
Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - ESPN College Gameday Presented by The Home Depot Parking Arriving early also solves another issue: Parking. Tickets are sold out and it's Homecoming, so parking was already in high demand, even before ESPN announced their visit. Get to your garage early. If you haven't purchased parking yet, pre-sale for Eden Garage (a short walk away in Uptown East/Medical Campus) is $15. It will be $20 on Saturday, but expect it to fill up early. There is a shuttle that runs from Eden Garage to campus, but it won't start running until 6 a.m.

View this post on InstagramWear Red This is the most important instruction for Saturday. The Bearcats have already scored two big wins in front of fans in red this season––against Notre Dame and UCF. Let's do it again. Arrive Early The show goes live at 9 a.m., but you'll need to be in Clifton long before that if you want to stand in The Pit, a limited-capacity area directly behind the GameDay set that gets seen on TV most often. The line will begin forming at 5:30 a.m., starting at the east end of The Pit and stretching down the staircase towards Tangeman University Center. Bring your biggest signs and flags! Make your signs clever and easy to read from a distance for your best chance at getting spotted on TV. You don't need a ticket to the game to participate in the festivities, but if your sign is particularly awesome, you could win two tickets!

The Game GameDay ends at noon and the game doesn't start until 3:30 p.m., so you'll have some time to transition from one to the other. Grab some food and drinks in Clifton or spend some time tailgating at The Grid. Nippert Stadium gates open at 1:30 p.m. and all the 2021 entry guidelines apply. (Read about those HERE.) The Homecoming parade is scheduled to begin on Clifton Avenue, just down the hill west of The Commons, at the conclusion of College GameDay. Show Your Pride We can't wait to have you on campus Saturday as the Bearcats look to extend the nation's second-longest home winning streak to 25 games. Get there early, be loud, wear red, and show America what makes our home so special.
