Sumajstorcic Set to Compete at FINA World Swimming Championships for Croatia

CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati senior Matea Sumajstorcic will represent Croatia at the 15th edition of the FINA World Swimming Championships in Abu Dhabi.

CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati senior Matea Sumajstorcic will represent Croatia at the 15th edition of the FINA World Swimming Championships in Abu Dhabi.

The best swimmers around the globe will compete in the six-day show between December 16-21. The competition will take place in the iconic Etihad Arena. Further, an Aquatics Festival will now take place in parallel which will feature three additional FINA disciplines (diving, high diving and open water). 

Sumajstorcic is scheduled to swim in heat 2 of the women's 800 meter freestyle event on Friday, December 17 at 2:14 a.m. The finals are scheduled for Saturday, December 18 at 10:41 a.m. She is also scheduled to compete in the women's 400 meter freestyle. Heats start around 1:06 a.m. and if she qualifies for the finals will compete again at 9:49 p.m.
