CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati has less than 1,000 tickets left for sale for the women's basketball annual Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout on Sunday, December 12th in Fifth Third Arena.
The Bearcats are set to host the shootout this year after the game was postponed last season due to COVID-19 protocols.
To purchase tickets, you can reach out directly to the Bearcats Ticket Office at 513-CATS TIX (513-228-7849) or click on this link.
TITLE IX CELEBRATION
In recognition of the 50th year of Title IX, the Crosstown Shootout will serve as a celebration of girls and women in sports in the city of Cincinnati. In a joint effort between UC and XU, the 2021 match-up will continue the efforts of the late Bill Keating, Jr. to sell-out the Women's Crosstown Shootout on an annual basis.
The match-up will feature a special half-time act featuring the frisbee dogs group K9's in Flight and post-game autographs by the team.
MATCHING UP AGAINST XAVIER
This will be the 43rd all-time meeting between the Bearcats and the Musketeers. The Red & Black hold a 25-17 series advantage, including a 10-8 edge in games played on UC's campus. The Bearcats are currently on a two game win streak after coming up short in five straight meetings and have held the Kendle Cup – the traveling trophy in the rivalry – since 2018.
UC came out on top 85-78 in the 2019 edition of the Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout at the Cintas Center and 79-61 in the 2018 edition held in Fifth Third Arena.
Head coach Michelle Clark-Heard is 2-0 as the Bearcats head coach against Xavier.
The Bearcats feature three Cincinnati natives- 2021 All-AAC Freshman team honoree Jillian Hayes (Loveland), Nevaeh Dean (Lakota West) and Clarissa Craig (Roger Bacon).
