CINCINNATI -- Former University of Cincinnati men's basketball standouts DerMarr Johnson and James White will hit the hardwood Saturday for the return of the Big3 league.

White and his Trilogy squad have the third game Saturday (all tip-off times TBA), followed by Johnson and 3's Company in the fifth. Fans can tune in all summer via CBS, the social-media app Triller and FITE TV. For more information, visit Big3.com.

Each of the first three weeks will be held in Las Vegas' Orleans Arena, followed by three more at the Xavier (New Orleans) Convocation Center, then a return to Las Vegas before the playoffs in the Bahamas.

The games, which include a half-court, first-to-50-point format, return for the third time after the COVID-19 pandemic canceled the last season.

Johnson, who as a freshman was the sixth-overall pick in the 2000 NBA Draft, is serving as the Director of Player Development on head coach Wes Miller's inaugural staff.

White scored 1,088 points in his three years (2003-06) with the Bearcats and was a second-round pick of the Portland Trail Blazers.
