CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati men's and women's swimming and diving programs were named Scholar All-American Teams by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) on Tuesday.

The men's and women's programs had 3.36 and 3.59 GPAs, respectively, to claim these honors.

A total of 728 teams and 450 colleges and universities received honors.

"Coach Commons-DiSalle demonstrates that a team can be successful in the pool AND the classroom," said CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart on Cincinnati's achievement. "These 57 men and women are some of the best ambassadors that Cincinnati and the American Athletic Conference could ask for."

Those with a GPA of 3.3 or higher will now become eligible for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.

The CSCAA is the nation's first organization of college coaches that was founded in 1922 with a mission to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy and professional development.
