CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving teams are back in action this weekend as they travel to the University of Kentucky on January 28 and the University of Louisville on January 29.
The events on Friday will begin at 4 p.m. at Kentucky and the teams are slated for a 12 p.m. start on Saturday at Louisville.

LAST TIME OUT AGAINST KENTUCKY AND LOUISVILLE
University of Cincinnati swimming and diving lost at Kentucky last time they faced on January 31st, 2020. The men lost 175-111 to the No. 25 Wildcats while the women fell 190-101 to the No. 13 ranked team.
University of Cincinnati swimming and diving fell on the road to No. 10/19 Louisville men's and women's squads on January 30th, 2021. The men lost by a score of 185-75 and the women lost 165-91.
SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
The Bearcats swept their crosstown rivals Xavier University on January 21st with scores of 211-83 for the men and 191-100 for the women.
Sophomore Jessica Davis won the 50-yard, 100-yard and the 200-yard freestyle and claimed AAC Swimming Athlete of the Week for her victories.
Junior Katherine Connolly got her season-best time in the 200-yard butterfly with a 2:04.19 and would also claim top spot in the 100-yard butterfly with another season-best time of 57.38.
Junior Michael Balcerak won the 50-yard freestyle with a 20.96 and the 100-yard freestyle with a 45.65.
Dominic Polling won the 100-yard breaststroke with a 56.18 and the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:03.90.

SCOUTING KENTUCKY AND LOUISVILLE
Louisville hosted Kentucky in the annual Battle of the Bluegrass and both the men's and women's squads won by scores of 208.5-88.5 and 174-126.
Louisville has both their men's (No. 9) and women's (No. 11) ranked, and the Kentucky's women squad ranks No. 14 nationally.
