CINCINNATI -- The University of Cincinnati women's golf team has headed south to the Sunshine State for its first spring tournament, the San Jose Intercollegiate in Jacksonville, Fla.
The action will take place at the par-72, 5,967-yard San Jose Country Club. Live scoring (GolfStat.com) and live streaming is available here.
The Bearcats have practically annexed land in the greater Jacksonville area, playing multiple tournaments there each of the last several years. This course will be a new one, however.
Participating teams include Butler, No. 67 Campbell, Charleston Southern, No. 49 Coastal Carolina, Dixie State, Florida International, Georgetown, Houston Baptist, Jacksonville (host), Lipscomb, Navy, Seminole State, Tennessee Tech, Towson, UNC Greensboro and USC Upstate.
UC's lineup includes Katie Hallinan, Sadie Pan, Julia Rabadam, Makenna Jones and Natalia Sompolvorachai.
Hallinan boasts a team-low 75.79 stroke average, joining Pan (who was second with a 77.57) and Paighton Masterson to play in all five fall events. The Bearcats' top tournament to date was the season-opening Pirate Collegiate Classic, in which they finished sixth with two of its best three rounds of the campaign.
Sompolvorachai is seeing her first action since appearing in the first two fall events.
