JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The University of Cincinnati women's golf team had its first spring day of competition suspended due to darkness late in the second round of the San Jose Intercollegiate.
"There were tough conditions with wind this morning," head coach Janet Carl said. "The ladies are starting to find their way on this tough Donald Ross course and we're seeing improvement in many areas, just not on the scorecard yet. I'm proud of the patience Katie played with today. The players are ready to get back out tomorrow and get a little more comfortable being back in tournament conditions."
Katie Hallinan is tied for fifth after also carding a 74 in the first round, while Sadie Pan was at just a four-over in the second round, currently tied for 26th. Julia Rabadam, Natalia Sompolvorachai and Makenna Jones follow in order.
Hallinan also tallied six birdies, one off the tournament lead, with Pan adding three.
The Bearcats are 14th out of 18 in the field, just eight strokes out of the 11th spot. Live streaming will continue here, with live scoring on Golfstat.
