Cincinnati is 17-8 at home the last three years, including a 5-4 mark last season. The Bearcats played all of their 2021 home games, with the exception of the opener, at Nippert Stadium. UC previously played just once in Nippert from 2014-20.

LAST TIME OUT
Cincinnati fought valiantly at Marquette (falling 16-13) on Saturday, with Kylie Nause collecting a first-quarter hat trick (finishing with four total), followed by Ava Goeller scoring three goals in a 44-second span late for a game-high five. The sophomore Goeller earned AAC Honor Roll nods after her electric debut.
UC saw two freshmen make their debuts (defender Alexis Rich and goalie Sophie O'Brien).

Ohio State, which defeated Robert Morris 17-5 in its opener, leads 8-1 all-time, with last season snapping a six-year streak of the teams facing each other. Cincinnati's lone win (17-12) came in 2018, with the 15-10 defeat in 2020 marking the Bearcats' second-most goals against the Buckeyes. Alyssa Adams was the only current member to play in that 2018 matchup, scoring goals on each of her two shots.
UC head coach Gina Thomas (Oliver) was a three-time All-American at Ohio State, lettering from 2002-05. She also finished as the program's career leader in ground balls (236) and caused turnovers (201), while ranking second in draw controls (121).
