DALLAS – The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving teams completed day two of the American Athletic Conference championships on Thursday.

DALLAS – The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving teams completed day two of the American Athletic Conference championships on Thursday.
 
The finals included the women's and men's 500-yard and 50-yard freestyle, 200 individual medley, 200-yard freestyle relay and the women's one-meter diving.
 
The women's team is in fourth place coming into the proceedings while the men sit behind SMU with 128.19 points.
 
TOP FINISHES
 
Junior Michael Balcerak completed back-to-back AAC Championship victories in the 500-yard freestyle when he clocked in a new personal-best and NCAA B-Standard time finishing with a time of 4:20.84.
 
Junior Kevin Leibold came in third place in the same event with a new personal-best time of 4:23.92.
 
In the women's 200-yard IM, senior Camryn Streid clocked a new school and personal record when she finished in second place with a time of 2:00.02 and sophomore Erin Shema came in third with new personal-best time of 2:01.00. 
 
Sophomore Jessica Davis set a new personal-best when she finished in second with a time of 22.89 in the 50-yard freestyle.
 
Both the men's and women's 200-yard freestyle relays podiumed in the finals. The women's team of sophomore Jessica Davis, freshman Kaylee Nagel, senior Molly Chelovitz and senior Maddie Exton clocked a time of 1:32.34 for second place and graduate student Dominic Polling, sophomore Drew Hawthorne, senior Murat Sagdullaev and freshman Matthew Brunsky finished with a time of 1:20.30 in the same event.  
 
NOTEABLE RESULTS
 
Freshman Anna Yaggy qualified for the consols with a score of 219.35, including a 42.00 on an inward one and a half somersault pike, and finished eighth in the consols with a score of 211.45.
 
In the 200-yard IM event, Polling clocked a time of 1:46.05, senior Blake Hanna finished in 1:46.42, sophomore Hunter Gubeno touched the wall with a new personal-best time of 1:46.96 and junior Spencer Sehlhorst finished in 1:48.00. These times were good for fourth, fifth, sixth and 10th.
 
Hawthorne (20.25), Brunsky (20.45) and sophomore Thomas Matthew (20.71) hit new personal-bests in the 50-yard freestyle event.
 
UP NEXT
The Bearcats are back in the pool for prelims Friday morning at 11 A.M. (ET) and finals begin at 7 P.M. (ET) on ESPN+.
