TicketsCINCINNATI -- Redshirt junior outfielder Paul Komistek was named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll on Monday for his performance this past weekend. This is his first weekly honor of the season.
Komistek, the 2022 AAC preseason player of the year, hit .500 (10-20) in four games against Florida Gulf Coast. He had 10 hits, two home runs, six RBIs, six runs and a 1.424 OPS.
On Friday, the slugger went 1-for-5 with an RBI. In Saturday's doubleheader, he went 6-for-10 with five runs, three RBIs, a home run and a stolen base. He had five hits in game one of the doubleheader. In the series finale on Sunday, the redshirt junior hit another home run, drove in two RBIs and went 3-for-5.
Komistek's 10 hits are the most in the entire NCAA. His six RBIs are tied for the most in the AAC with teammate redshirt junior outfielder Griffin Merritt. The two are also tied for the most total bases in the conference with 18 each.
