DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The University of Cincinnati lacrosse team fell victim to Davidson's breakthrough third quarter, dropping a 15-4 decision on a cold, wet Sunday afternoon.
The Wildcats led 4-0 and 5-2 before scoring eight-straight goals in the third quarter. Ultimately, the hosts had a 30-18 shots advantage.
Kylie Nause scored three goals, extending her season-long hat-trick streak to five games.
Freshman attacker Kirsten Schleicher scored her first collegiate goal late, picking up a high pass intended for Kylie Nause at point-blank range.
UC had previously split the series history with Davidson, falling in 2008 and winning in 2011.
Cincinnati will hit the road again this weekend to battle Kent State (Friday) and Akron (Sunday).
