Claus Competes on Day 2 of Zone Diving Championships

Cincinnati freshman diver Will Claus placed 25th with a score of 272.15 in the 1-meter springboard preliminary round on Tuesday at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships held inside the Donald B. Canham Natatorium.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Cincinnati freshman diver Will Claus placed 25th with a score of 272.15 in the 1-meter springboard preliminary round on Tuesday at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships held inside the Donald B. Canham Natatorium.
 
Claus finished 32nd in the 3-meter on Monday. He will wrap up the event in the men's platform on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
 
He is seeking to qualify for the NCAA Diving Championships, which will be held March 23-26 in Atlanta, Georgia.
 
NCAA Championships Qualifying Procedures
Zone C is allotted nine spots on one-meter, nine spots on three-meter and 11 spots on the 10-meter platform. Any diver that qualifies for the NCAA Championships will be allowed to optionally enter any other event at the championships, provided that the diver finished in the top 12 at the same zone meet and has achieved the zone qualifying score for that event prior to the NCAA Championships.
