TOO MUCH NAUSE
Kylie Nause earned AAC Honor Roll accolades last week, her fourth-straight week with league distinction (Attacker of the Week the previous two). Her 31 goals in eight games (3.88) leads the league, putting her third all-time at UC with 110. Laura Simanski (2009-12) is second with 153. Nause's season-long hat-trick streak is also fifth, matching Alyssa Adams' 2019 season. The 10 that Nause had as the AAC's Freshman of the Year ties for third with Simanski.

Adams' 105 goals ranks fourth as well.

DEFENSIVELY SPEAKING
Ava Goeller has corralled 25 draw controls to lead the team, two ahead of Dani Mlkvy, while Mlkvy leads with 17 ground balls (she had 25 all of last year). The Bearcats have managed to out-shoot their opponents 31.2-28.2 per game, allowing their fewest goals in the fourth quarter.

THE HOMESTAND CONTINUES
Cincinnati, with just two home games left after the weekend, has faced a gauntlet here this season, seeking its first win after previously facing Ohio State, No. 11 Michigan and Louisville. Nause and Goeller, as reflected in the full season stats as well, have led with 10 and six goals apiece, respectively. The Bearcats' turnover margin has been minus-four in those contests. UC was 5-4 at home last year (the last eight at Nippert Stadium) and 2-2 in the shortened 2020 campaign.

CENTRAL MICHIGAN
Cincinnati boasts a 5-1 record in the all-time series, played each of the last six years. The one defeat was in overtime in 2019 but followed with 15-14 and 15-11 wins. The two teams have three mutual opponents so far in Louisville, Michigan and Kent State, facing similar results each time.

Last year's meeting saw Peyton Mottice and Alyssa Adams carry the offense with four goals apiece, with Adams and Sam Mlkvy combining for 17 draw controls to out-pace CMU's nine overall, one of two instances of the last two years the team had 20-plus.

LIBERTY
The Flames took last year's meeting, 14-10, after the Bearcats won the only other two matchups in 2012 and 2013. It was a 9-0 run after a 4-4 halftime score that provided Liberty's boost. This year's team is 4-4, having most recently split a West Coast weekend at UC Davis (L, 11-12) and Cal (W, 17-13).
