CINCINNATI- The Cincinnati Bearcats women's tennis team will face-off against local rival Xavier on Saturday March 26 at 5 p.m. at the Eastern Hills Indoor Tennis Club.
SERIES HISTORY
This will be the 27th time Cincinnati and Xavier will face off against each other, with the Bearcats leading the overall series 15-12.
Last time out on March 21, 2021, UC fell to crosstown rival Xavier 4-3 after battling through singles play. Xavier claimed the doubles point 2-1, giving it an early one-point advantage. Redshirt seniors Ioana Guna and Emma Miceli and redshirt sophomore Kelli Niehaus earned all three Bearcats points in singles play.

SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
- Cincinnati is currently on an 11-game win streak and is 12-3 overall on the season.
- The Bearcats secured their 11th straight victory with a 7-0 win over IUPUI Sunday afternoon, marking the longest win streak in program history.
- Redshirt sophomore Kelli Niehaus remains undefeated in singles action at 11-0 and is 22-2 overall in the Spring season.
- Redshirt senior Emma Miceli swept in singles for the second match in a row, going 6-0 and 6-0 on court three to improve to 11-3 on the season.
- Redshirt senior Ioana Guna won a tightly contested match on court one over IUPUI to improve to 6-7 on the season.
SCOUTING THE MUSKETEERS
- Xavier is 4-3 at home and 7-7 overall on the season.
- After back-to-back losses to Louisville and No. 4 Ohio State, Xavier rebounded with a 6-1 win over Miami, (Ohio).
- Xavier returned seven letterwinners from last season's BIG EAST Championship squad, including Ahmeir Kyle and Anna Roggenburk, who were were unanimous selections to the All-BIG EAST First Team.
- Roggenburk also earned the nod as Freshman of the Year for the conference while Kyle became the first Musketeer to qualify for the NCAA DI Singles Championship.
- The Musketeers also return all-conference honoree Kat Lyman, who earned a spot on the All-BIG EAST Second Team.
