MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa.-- The Cincinnati lacrosse team shook off a Robert Morris rally that tied it early in the third quarter, scoring three-straight over the next 11 minutes to ultimately win 12-8 on a snowy Sunday afternoon.

The Bearcats (6-6) have now won five of their last six road games, completing the weekend sweep after Friday's 16-12 win over Butler. The team also finished with its most non-conference wins since 2019.

UC also jumped out to a 5-1 lead with 12:31 left in the second quarter. Elizabeth Murphy was credited with a career-high four assists in the first half alone, upping her team lead to 15, while also scoring her ninth goal in the third.

Freshman Kylie Gioia (who scored twice against Butler) notched her first hat trick. Anna Platou's two goals marked her first with multiple for her career, giving her five for the spring. Alyssa Adams and Ava Goeller also scored twice, while Kylie Nause's 45thof the year opened the game. Next up for her in the Bearcat record books is Laura Simanski, who had 46 in 2010 and 47 in 2009, for third and second.

Cincinnati native and freshman Sophie O'Brien had nine saves for her third game above 50 percent.

UC extended its win streak over the Colonials to three after taking the 2016 and 2021 meetings and now lead 4-2 all-time.

Cincinnati opens conference play Sunday against No. 11 Florida at 12 p.m. There will also be a free kids' clinic postgame, with Wednesday as the registration deadline.
