Claus to Compete at Zone Diving Championships

Cincinnati freshman diver Will Claus will look to qualify for the NCAA Championships at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships from Monday to Wednesday at the Donald B. Canham Natatorium.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Cincinnati freshman diver Will Claus will look to qualify for the NCAA Championships at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships from Monday to Wednesday at the Donald B. Canham Natatorium.
 
The NCAA Diving Championships will be held March 23-26 in Atlanta, Georgia.
 
Claus will compete in the 3-meter springboard (Monday, 1 p.m.), the 1-meter springboard (Tuesday, 1 p.m.) and the 10-meter platform (Wednesday, 1 p.m.).
 
NCAA Championships Qualifying Procedures
Zone C is allotted nine spots on one-meter, nine spots on three-meter and 11 spots on the 10-meter platform. Any diver that qualifies for the NCAA Championships will be allowed to optionally enter any other event at the championships, provided that the diver finished in the top 12 at the same zone meet and has achieved the zone qualifying score for that event prior to the NCAA Championships.
 
Hanna, Gubeno Seek NCAA Championship Berth at Last Chance Meet
Senior Blake Hanna and sophomore Hunter Gubeno will compete in a Last Chance Meet at Ohio State on Sunday in an effort to improve their times in the 200-yard backstroke to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
