BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The University of Cincinnati baseball team fell to Indiana Tuesday, 7-0.
Redshirt sophomore pitcher Alex Shea got the ball to start for Cincinnati (6-5) and took the loss. Sophomore pitcher Max Bergmann was a bright spot on the mound for the Bearcats, coming out of the bullpen and throwing 4.1 innings, giving up two runs on four hits with one walk and three strikeouts.
Offensively, the Bearcats were paced by redshirt sophomore catcher Joe Powell, who went 2-for-3 on the day.
Indiana put up five runs in the first inning and the Bearcats were unable to catch up from there.

» Cincinnati pitchers limited Indiana to 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position.
» Redshirt senior infielder Wyatt Stapp played in his 150th career game (30 at Tennessee, 120 at UC).
» Powell led the Bearcats at the plate, going 2-for-3.
