WHAT'S AT STAKE
Cincinnati is seeking its first ranked win in program history. Florida took all three meetings last year, 20-3, 19-5 and 19-6 (AAC semis), and lead 10-0 all-time. The Bearcats have previously faced No. 11 Michigan and Louisville, which is receiving top-25 votes. UC was 3-7 in last year's expanded league schedule and 4-1 in 2019 (inaugural AAC season), its only loss coming at Florida in the finale.
HOME IN THE QUEEN CITY
Five of UC's six wins have come on the road, including this past weekend's road sweep. The Bearcats one week prior edged Central Michigan, 12-11, before falling 16-12 to Liberty in a game that was tied at 11 in the fourth.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ava Goeller, after three Honor Roll nods this season, was named AAC Midfielder of the Week on Monday. Her eight points (four goals, four assists) in the Butler win accounted for half the Bearcats' points and was her sixth-straight hat trick and eighth overall. The eight points were also a team season-high and tied for 10th in school history. She had four draw controls, four ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Goeller is second on the team in scoring (34 goals), assists (9), points (43), draw controls (37), ground balls (19) and caused turnovers (12).
NATIONAL RANKINGS
Kylie Nause is fourth in the nation with 45 goals, which is also fourth in school history. Next for her is Laura Simanski's 46 in 2010 and 47 in 2009 for third and second. Monica Borzillo's 61 in 2019 is the record and ranked 25th at season's end. Goeller is also 23rd with her 34 goals.
Nause's 10 hat tricks are tied for third in school history, with Borzillo's 12 in 2019 as the benchmark. Nause also had 10 in her 2019 AAC Freshman of the Year campaign. Her 124 career goals are third, and fifth-year senior Alyssa Adams is fourth with 111.
