REUNION IN NORFOLK
First-year Old Dominion assistant coach Monica Borzillo holds a slew of Cincinnati records following her five-year Bearcat career (2017-21), including career goals (197), assists (145) and points (342). She was a teammate of all but 11 players on this year's UC team, with both of Gina Thomas' assistant coaches also not arriving until the summer.

NAUSE KEEPS CLIMBING
Senior Kylie Nause scored four goals against No. 10 Florida and five more at Temple to earn AAC Honor Roll nods. Her 54 on the year put her within seven of matching Borzillo's 2019 school record, while her 12 hat tricks are currently tied for the same.

SERIES HISTORY
Cincinnati has already set a program record with five road wins, and this will be its first time playing in Norfolk. The Bearcats claimed each meeting last year at Nippert Stadium, 16-7 and 17-6. Peyton Mottice had a hat trick in the first matchup, and UC boasted a 67-35 shots and 28-22 draw control advantage as well.

LAST TIME OUT
UC found itself within 11-10 late, but Temple scored three goals over the final four minutes to prevail, 14-10. In addition to Nause's career-high five goals, Ava Goeller scored twice to go with two assists, while Nause and Dani Mlkvy combined for 11 draw controls. Despite that push, the Owls had a 21-10 margin in ground balls to go with seven fewer turnovers.

YOUNG CONTRIBUTORS
Several freshmen have played significant roles this season. Sophie O'Brien had seven saves against the Gators before a career-high 11 at Temple, and Alexis Rich has started all 14 games as well. Kylie Gioia has 13 goals on the season, including a five-game streak that featured her first hat trick at Robert Morris. Last year's UC team, which included COVID eligibility, had 13 seniors, while this year's has three (Nause, Anna Platou, Alyssa Adams).
