PINEHURST, N.C. -- The Cincinnati women's golf team is playing for all the marbles this week when it tees off Sunday at the AAC Championships in Pinehurst, N.C.
UC will play its three days at the Pinehurst No. 6 course, a par-72, 6,290-yard venture. Live scoring is available through Golfstat, while Tuesday's final round will be on ESPN Plus.
Katie Hallinan, Sadie Pan, Paighton Masterson, Julia Rabadam and Alexis Daniel make up the lineup, while Makenna Jones is present as a sub, the first-such year in the women's field.
This is the second-straight season the event has been at Pinehurst, and the Bearcats improved their score each round. Hallinan, Masterson and Pan all competed, with Hallinan's 16-over 232 leading the pack in a tie for 28th.
Hallinan has been the top performer all season, boasting a 73.33 stroke average that includes four top-five finishes and a low of 69 in the first tournament. Pan is second at 77.13. Rabadam was 20th in the Colonel Classic her last timeout, a season-best finish for the freshman. Daniel has played in six tournaments, three each over the fall and spring. Masterson tied for 30th at the Colonel Classic, the most-recent outing, with that and her 74 in the finale both serving as season-bests. Jones' 73 to close the Bab Steffens Invitational was her career-low by four strokes.
Two of Cincinnati's four-highest finishes came in the last two tournaments, including a season-low round to wrap the Bab Steffens on March 28. Tulsa won last year's title with a 24-over 888, while UC was ninth.
