TicketsCINCINNATI -- Ty Gingerich maintained a tie for 10th as the Cincinnati men's golf team finished its second round in Tennessee. The Bearcats are in sixth.
Gingerich carded a 70, his second under-par round of the weekend, while Mason Lenhart posted the best with a 69 to grab a tie for 21st. It matched Lenhart's season-low, previously at the beginning of the Steelwood Collegiate Invite.
Sam Jean, Clay Amlung and Joey McCarthy follow in order, all recording 73s and 74s.
"It was a very up and down day from start to finish," head coach Doug Martin said. "Individually, we played very well in stretches but had poor ones that really hurt our momentum. Mason and Ty both played very solid today. Tomorrow is a new day, and we must come out ready to fight."
Cincinnati, which has had its lowest round in three tournaments this season, will look to end on a high note in Sunday's final round. Live scoring is available on Golfstat.
