CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati Director of Athletics John Cunningham announced on Friday the promotion of Bria McLaurin to the Associate Athletic Director, Ticketing.

The Trotwood, Ohio, native will oversee all aspects of the UC Athletics Ticket Office, including sales, operations and customer service, while managing a staff of more than a dozen people.

McLaurin was hired as the Assistant AD for Ticket Sales & Service in March 2021.

She oversaw record-breaking ticket sales efforts for football in 2021. UC set records for total season tickets sold, most student season tickets and most new season tickets. Additionally, the UC Athletics Ticket Office was able to sell out six of seven home football contests and established a new revenue record for football.

"Bria has done a remarkable job leading our ticket sales staff over the last year," Cunningham said. "Her hard work, dedication and leadership qualities proved to us that she was ready to oversee our whole ticket office, taking on the added responsibilities of managing our operations side, too. She's a rising star in college athletics who we are lucky to have in our Cincinnati Athletics family."

McLaurin joined the Bearcats after four years on the ticket sales team at Syracuse Athletics, including two years as a senior account executive. She produced more than $2 million in ticket sales and donations for the Orange, where she worked with Anthony Di Fino, current Cincinnati Deputy Athletic Director of External Operations.

"I am unbelievably thrilled to see Bria's growth, not just this past year, but the last five years of knowing her," Di Fino said. "She's a leader, a learner, and dedicated to serving her clients and the entire fan base.  Her customer service, and expectations of excellence, are second-to-none. I am so proud of her success, and excited to see how her leadership will transform the Ticket Office. She makes us better every day."

McLaurin was a key part of a sales team at Syracuse which hit record milestones for football season ticket sales as well as men's basketball attendance crowns in 2018-19 and 2019-20, while also setting an NCAA on-campus record crowd of 35,642 for the Duke game on Feb. 23, 2019. She was also the ticket sales lead for Syracuse women's basketball, achieving a school attendance record for the team, drawing 11,021 fans for its 2017 game against Notre Dame.

Prior to joining the Orange, McLaurin was an inside sales consultant for the Cleveland Browns from June 2016 to February 2017. She helped the sales and service team reach their season and group ticket goals, hitting the internal renewal goal and producing almost $3 million in group-ticket sales.

She started her career on the premium seating gameday staff for the Cincinnati Bengals and as marketing, sales and game operations intern for the Cincinnati Cyclones.

McLaurin earned a bachelor's degree in sports business from Northern Kentucky University in 2016 and a master's in business analytics from Syracuse in 2020.
