TicketsCINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati swimming and diving head coach Mandy Commons-Disalle was announced as the President of the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Board of Directors this week. She will serve as president from 2022 to 2024.
She was the association's president-elect since 2020.
"I am extremely honored to serve the membership of the CSCAA as President of the Board of Directors," Commons-Disalle said. "I am looking forward to supporting our new Executive Director, Samantha Barany, and helping to navigate the ever-changing landscape of collegiate sports while progressing the sport of swimming & diving."
A two-time American Athletic Conference Men's Swimming Coach of the Year, the Cincinnati native just finished her eighth season as head coach and 12th overall with the Bearcats program.
Since arriving at UC in 2014, Coach DiSalle has coached four All-Americans, six NCAA Qualifiers, seven AAC Swimmers of the Year and 52 AAC Champions. Over the course of eight years, her team has also recorded 86 new school records, 209 AAC podium finishes and 485 new UC Top-10 Times.
In the CSCAA's release back in 2020 when she was named president-elect, Commons-DiSalle spoke about the need to broaden the sport's reach and equip coaches to adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
"We must continue to be a national presence and find ways to engage with the community in different ways to display our value," Commons-Disalle said. "As the landscape of the sport changes, we must evolve as coaches to adapt to changing athlete needs, university needs, and community needs."
The CSCAA Board of Directors provides strategic oversight of the association in its efforts to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
