TicketsCINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati tennis player Elizabeth Pendergast was named to the 2022 American Athletic Conference women's tennis All-Conference Team, announced on Thursday.
Pendergast is the first Bearcat since 2017 to earn post-season recognition, when Lauren Bellinger and Kelly Pggensee-Wei were both named to the all-conference team.
She finished 9-11 on court one during the duals season while also going 9-9 in doubles play, split between courts one and two.
Pendergast helped Cincinnati to a 16-7 record this spring and was part of the longest win streak in program history when the team won 11 straight matches.
The Cincinnati native was named AAC women's tennis player of the week on April 5 after going 3-0 in singles play the same week week where the Bearcats went 3-0. That same week she also secured a doubles win when she and doubles teammate Cassie McLay won on court one over Marshall, 6-2.
Pre-season, she earned a no. 121 national ranking by the International Tennis Association after finishing the fall with a 9-1 record in singles and 4-1 record in doubles action.
