TicketsCINCINNATI -- Cincinnati fifth-year tennis senior Emma Miceli earned CoSIDA Academic All-District accolades as part of the at-large team on Friday.
Miceli, a native of Mississauga, Ontario, was 14-5 in singles and 9-9 in doubles, going 77-34 in singles for her career. The Bearcats' season featured an 11-match win streak between Jan. 29 and March 20, the longest in school history.
This season, her greatest strength was on No. 5, where she was 8-3, followed by a 4-2 mark on No. 4. Her primary doubles partner was Ioana Guna, and their background was featured on GoBearcats.com in March.
Miceli, who earned her bachelor's degree in accounting in Spring 2021, was working on her master's in the same program this past year. She had a 3.96 undergrad GPA to go with a 3.97 so far as a grad student. She is the program's first CoSIDA honoree since Hannah Wille reached Academic All-America status in 2016. Elizabeth Pendergast joins Miceli on the 2022 honor roll as well after being named All-AAC earlier in May.
Voting amongst collegiate sports information directors for the Academic All-America teams ends Tuesday, with the men's and women's at-large teams announced June 14-15.
