TicketsEugene, Ore. – The final day of the 2022 NCAA Track and Field Championships took place today with finals in the women's events. Ellie Leather finished off her career as a Bearcat with Second-Team All-America Honors in the 1,500-meter run.
ELLIE LEATHER – 1,500-meter Run:
Leather ran a great race to finish her collegiate career, claiming 11th place in the 1,500-meter run. This is the second-highest finish in a running event at the NCAA Championship meet by a UC women's track and field athlete ever. Her time of 4:13.37 is also her second-fastest time ever in the 1,500-meter run.
Leather will leave UC an All-American in both indoor and outdoor track from her senior year, having first-team honors in the indoor mile and second-team honors in the outdoor 1,500. She was a five-time American Athletic Conference Champion this year and holds five school records.
