LAS VEGAS -- University of Cincinnati men's basketball assistant coaches Mike Roberts and Andre Morgan have been selected to participate in the prestigious 2022 TopConnect Basketball Symposium in UNLV's Thomas and Mack Center on Monday, June 27.
Roberts also appeared last August. TopConnect (formerly Villa 7) originated in 2003 by then VCU Athletics Director Dr. Richard Sander and identifies the top assistant basketball coaches in the country, connecting them with mid-major Athletics Directors to provide both parties with tremendous networking and leadership development opportunities.
The 2022 symposium is headlined by head coaches Lindy LaRocque (UNLV women), Simon Harris (East Tennessee State women), John Aiken (McNeese men) and Lon Kruger (retired longtime men's coach).
Athletics directors presenting include Mark Benson (Albany), Mike Capaccio (The Citadel), Bryan Blair (Toledo), Chris King (Robert Morris), Scott Garrett (Cleveland State), Alex Ricker-Gilbert (Jacksonville), Eugene Marshall (Hampton), Drew Marrachello (Boston University) and Gene Taylor (Kansas State).
Since its inception in 2018, 35 assistant coaches and assistant athletics director participants have been promoted to head coach and athletics director, as well as a conference commissioner. The action can be followed on all social media platforms via @TopConnectLead.
