CINCINNATI -- The University of Cincinnati athletics department announced on Wednesday Stacie Skodinski's promotion to Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Performance.

"Stacie has moved the needle in Sports Performance in her short time here," said Mike Rehfeldt, Associate Athletics Director for Sports Performance. "Her ability to adapt and manage multiple issues can be felt throughout the sports performance department. With a wealth of experience and mentorship, she has established a strong foundation as we grow into the Big 12. Under her guidance, Sports Performance has been enhanced with a focus the student-athlete experience, development, education and performance."

Skodinski joined Cincinnati in June 2021. Over the last year, she was selected to serve on the CPAWS Advisory Board and the One Team Professional Development Subcommittee. Rehfeldt also entrusted her to review nutrition services while providing direction for the future. With this promotion, she now oversees all of the Olympic Sports Performance staff, the services provided for the Olympic sport programs, and helping create the newly launched Performance Nutrition department.

"Stacie's positive impact and influence over the course of this past year has helped prepare our department to be Big 12-ready," said Maggie McKinley, Deputy Athletics Director for Internal Operations. "She is a solutions-based leader and is innovative in maximizing resources to directly impact the performance and well-being of our student-athletes. The partnerships she has created on-campus and in the community will reap dividends for years to come for our current and future student-athletes."

Skodinski's primary sports at UC are volleyball and women's tennis. She came to Cincinnati from Baylor, where she was an associate athletics performance coach in charge of women's soccer and cross country/800-meter groups while assisting with acrobatics and tumbling and equestrian.
