TicketsCINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team will travel to Charleston, W. Va. this weekend, Sept. 23-25, for the Thunder in the Mountains at Kanawha Rec Center.
The Bearcats will be joined by VCU and co-hosts Marshall and West Virginia. Following a hidden dual format, Cincinnati will play two rounds of doubles and a round of singles on Friday, a round of each on Saturday and one final round of singles on Sunday.
Cincinnati opens competition with doubles against West Virginia and Marshall, starting at 10 a.m. The Bearcats will close out the first day of action facing VCU in singles at 3 p.m.
Action resumes Saturday when the Cincinnati take on VCU in doubles at 3:30 p.m. before battling with West Virginia in singles at 4:15 p.m. The Bearcats round out the invitational with a singles matchup against Marshall at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Cincinnati opened the fall season with 20 court victories at the Flyer Invitational in Dayton, Ohio. The Bearcats swept their doubles matches against host Dayton and Northern Kentucky, while securing 14 singles wins over the two-day event.
