CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati baseball head coach Scott Googins has announced the addition of Austin Woodby and Kevin Hollabaugh to his staff.

Woodby will serve as video coordinator while Hollabaugh has been brought on as director of player development. Woodby recently served as pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Mount St. Joseph University (2020-22).

"We are extremely fortunate to add Austin to our staff," said head coach Scott Googins. "His experience both as a player and as a coach will be a huge asset to our program. He will add video breakdown for our players to help in their development."

Woodby began his collegiate career at the University of Cincinnati where he made 14 appearances while pitching in 33 innings. He posted a 3-0 record with one save while collecting 20 strikeouts and just seven walks. He transferred to Ohio State where he made 56 appearances and pitched over 117 innings while collecting 84 strikeouts in three seasons. He finished his illustrious Buckeye career with 13 wins and only two losses.

"I'd like to thank Coach Googins and Coach Heilmann for the opportunity to join such a special program," said Woodby. "The University of Cincinnati means so much to me and I feel very fortunate to be in the position to help our student-athletes grow. I'm excited for this new challenge!"

Woodby earned his bachelor's degree in strategic communications from Ohio State. He hails from Springboro, Ohio and is a product of Springboro High School.  Hollabaugh's coaching experience has taken him from the University of South Florida to sports performance facilities in Cincinnati and Indianapolis before he founded ProForce Sports Performance in 2014.

"Kevin has a diverse skillset that will allow him to help our program in so many areas," said Googins. "I appreciate and respect the credibility he brings to our program. His extensive baseball background coupled with his commitment to player development makes him a key addition to our program moving forward."

As founder of ProForce Sports Performance, Hollabaugh is responsible for the day-to-day business operations. He counsels athletes and coaches on training, recovery, and management as well as brand development.

"I am excited to return to my alma mater and to have the opportunity to work with the baseball team," said Hollabaugh. "I am passionate about the sport, have dedicated the past 14 years of my professional career to bettering it, and cannot wait to share my knowledge and experience with the team."

Hollabaugh also serves as an adjunct professor for the University of Cincinnati where he teaches several courses for the sport management program. He earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science and master's degree in healthcare administration from Cincinnati. He worked as a student athletic trainer for UC football and played for the club baseball team.
