CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati volleyball team returns to Fifth Third Arena for its first two home conference matches of the season, beginning with SMU at 6 p.m. on Friday.
The Bearcats (3-9, 1-1 AAC) will also host Memphis at 1 p.m. on Sunday. The team will be available post-match for autographs in The Vault on the East concourse.
Both matches will be broadcast nationally on ESPN+ and can be followed via live stats.

Cincinnati opened its American Athletic Conference slate with a four-set win over Tulane on Friday. The Bearcats improved to 8-2 in AAC openers under head coach Molly Alvey. It marked their seventh straight conference-opening win.
UC dropped a tightly contested four-set decision to Houston on Sunday. Houston, who is receiving votes in the AVCA Coaches Poll for the third straight week, handed the Bearcats their first conference loss of the season. The first three sets were decided by a combined six points.
Senior libero Payton Frederick shined for the Bearcats over the weekend. She averaged 4.63 digs per set, including a season-high 20 digs against Houston.

Freshman outside hitter Carly Glendinning was named to the AAC weekly honor roll, the league office announced on Monday (Sept. 26). The Lake St. Louis, Mo., native averaged 4.50 kills, 1.25 digs and 0.38 blocks per set in a 1-1 weekend for the Bearcats. She totaled 36 kills with only 10 attacking errors on 90 attempts (.280).
In UC's win over Tulane, she recorded a match-high 17 kills with only five attacking errors on 40 attempts for an efficient hitting percentage of .300. She was a perfect 13-of-13 on service reception to go along with five digs. She followed up the performance with a career-high 19 kills against Houston. She hit .280 with only five attacking errors on 50 swings. She added three blocks and five digs.

Freshman setter Caroline Endres ranks third in the AAC and 44th in the country in assists per set (10.26). She also sits 10th in the league in service aces per set (0.32). She has posted 40-plus assists in six matches, and 50-plus assists twice.
Frederick ranks seventh in the league in digs per set (3.50). She has led the Bearcats in digs in all but one match this season.
Sophomore middle blocker Abby Walker sits 11th in the AAC in kills per set (2.87). She has led the team in kills in six matches and in blocks in four. She has recorded 20-plus kills in two matches, including a career-high 23 against then-No. 10 Pitt.
In AAC matches only, Glendinning ranks third in kills per set (4.50). She has led the team in kills in three matches, including back-to-back contests against Tulane and Houston.
