"Pow6rful Minds Week is an opportunity to advocate for student-athletes and promote the importance of prioritizing both our mental health and physical health, said Noelle Meeker, current sophomore and SAAC member on the Women's Track & Field team. As a student-athlete, Pow6rful Minds showcases how supportive our athletic department is of our student-athletes and the resources they provide for us. It's also a week for student-athletes to come together and support one another across all sports."

The American Athletic Conference and UC's SAAC organization have helped create awareness to mental health issues and the resources available for student-athletes through the Pow6rful Minds initiative. The goal of Pow6rful Minds, and a top priority of SAAC, has been to end the stigma related to seeking help and promoting academic and personal success through a healthy, powerful mind.
