CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati volleyball team continues American Athletic Conference play on the road with a pair of matches this weekend.
 
The Bearcats (3-11, 1-3 AAC) open the weekend slate at Temple at 7 p.m. on Friday night at McGonigle Hall in Philadelphia, Pa.
 
Cincinnati will then head to Greenville, N.C., to take on the East Carolina Pirates on Sunday afternoon. First serve is scheduled for noon at Minges Coliseum. 

Both matches will be broadcast nationally on ESPN+ and can be followed via live stats.
 
// WEEKEND REWIND
Cincinnati fell in four sets to both SMU and Memphis last weekend to move to 1-3 in AAC play. The Bearcats will look to snap a three-match losing streak. Freshman Avry Tatum averaged 3.50 kills per set at an impressive .377 hitting percentage to lead the Bearcats last weekend. She posted 28 kills with only five attacking errors on 61 attempts. She tied her career high in kills (18) and hit .417 against Memphis. 
 
Freshman Carly Glendinning averaged 4.25 kills per set while hitting .266 (34-13-79). She had double-digit kills in both matches, posting 18 vs. SMU and 16 vs. Memphis. Defensively, senior Payton Frederick had 3.63 digs per set and recorded 18 digs against Memphis.
 
// LEAGUE LEADERS
Freshman setter Caroline Endres ranks third in the AAC and 57th in the country in assists per set (10.08). She has posted 40-plus assists in six matches, and 50-plus assists twice. Frederick ranks sixth in digs per set in league games only (4.13) and seventh overall in the category (3.50). She has led the Bearcats in digs in all but two matches this season. 
 
In AAC matches only, Glendinning ranks third in kills per set (4.38). She has led the team in kills in four matches, including three straight to open AAC play. Sophomore middle blocker Abby Walker sits 15th in the AAC in kills per set (2.71). She has recorded 20-plus kills in two matches, including a career-high 23 against then-No. 10 Pitt.
 
// MADDEN HITS MILESTONE IN SEASON DEBUT  
Sophomore setter Emme Madden made her season debut last weekend after missing the first 12 matches due to injury. With her ninth assist against Memphis, she eclipsed 1,000 assists for her career. It took her only 29 career matches to achieve the feat. She currently sits seventh in program history for the rally scoring era with 1,021 career assists. She needs 312 assists to move into a tie for sixth with Madi Lang (2012-14).
 
// STEADY SHAYE
As an outside hitter, sophomore Shaye Eggleston has put up impressive numbers on the defensive end while also contributing to the Bearcats' offensive unit. She's averaging 1.84 kills and 2.33 digs per set in 12 starts. She has posted three double-doubles in the last five matches. Her most recent double-double came against SMU with a season-high 15 kills to go along with 12 digs. She has also posted double-doubles against Xavier (14k/17d) and Houston (10k/13d).
 
// SERIES HISTORY
Cincinnati is 11-11 all-time against Temple. The Bearcats swept the season series in 2021 but fell in both matchups in the shortened 2020-21 spring season. The Bearcats own a 19-3 advantage all-time against ECU. UC has won eight straight in the series with seven of the victories coming via sweep.
