Bearcats Complete First Day of Rocket Classic

PORT CLINTON, Ohio – The University of Cincinnati women's golf team completed the opening day of the Rocket Classic Monday at the par-72, 6,118-yard Catawba Island Club in Port Clinton, Ohio.
 
The Bearcats sit tied for seventh through 36 holes with a score of 642. A 9 a.m. shotgun start will be used for the final 18 holes on Tuesday.  
 
Graduate student Katie Hallinan and junior Paighton Masterson led the Bearcats on the opening day, each sitting tied for 17th with a score of 159.  
 
Junior Sadie Pan is tied for 26th (161), followed by Paola Rosario in T31st (163). Rosario led the team in birdies with five on the first day, including four during the first round. Sophomore Julia Rabadam, who is competing as an individual, sits tied for 28th with a score of 162.
