CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati volleyball team will host Wichita State on Friday and Tulsa on Sunday inside Fifth Third Arena.
The Bearcats (4-12, 2-4 AAC) will take on Wichita State at 6 p.m. on Friday for its annual Breast Cancer Awareness match, presented by Mammotome. The first 500 fans will receive a pink pom-pom.
Cincinnati will then welcome the Tulsa Golden Hurricane for a 12:30 p.m. matchup on Sunday afternoon.

Cincinnati split a pair of five-set road matches last weekend, picking up a win over Temple on Friday before falling to ECU on Sunday. Freshman Avry Tatum led the Bearcats with 4.40 points, 4.00 kills and 1.90 digs per set to earn a spot on the AAC weekly honor roll.
Sophomore Abby Walker averaged 2.90 kills, 1.10 blocks and 0.30 aces per set. She hit a season-best .467 against Temple (15-1-30) and tied her career high in blocks (8) vs. ECU.
Senior Payton Frederick averaged 4.10 digs and 1.20 assists per set. She boasted a .980 service reception percentage with only one error on 49 attempts.

Frederick ranks seventh in the AAC in digs per set (3.61) and is averaging 4.12 digs per set in league play. She has led the Bearcats in digs in all but two matches this season.
Walker sits eighth in the league in hitting percentage (.305) and 10th in blocks per set (0.89).
In AAC play, freshman Carly Glendinning ranks fourth in kills per set (3.96) and sixth in points per set (4.25). Sophomore setter Emme Madden made her return to the court in AAC action. She ranks sixth in conference play with 8.94 assists per set.

Right side Avry Tatum was named to the AAC weekly honor roll, the league office announced on Monday, Oct. 10. The freshman from Cardiff, Calif., averaged 4.40 points, 4.00 kills and 1.90 digs per set in a 1-1 week for the Bearcats. She led the team in kills in both matches and finished with an overall hitting percentage of .277 (40-14-94).
She recorded a career-high 22 kills at a .269 hitting percentage to lead the Bearcats to a five-set victory over Temple. She followed up the performance with her first career double-double against ECU where she posted 18 kills and 14 digs to go along with four blocks.
Four Bearcats have earned a spot on the AAC weekly honor roll so far this season: Tatum (Oct. 10), Glendinning (Sept. 26), Walker and Frederick (Aug. 28).
// ROOKIES RISING TO THE CHALLENGE
Freshmen outside attackers Glendinning and Tatum have stepped up for the Bearcats in conference play, both having earned a spot on the AAC weekly honor roll for their performances. Glendinning is averaging 3.96 kills per set in AAC play – good for fourth in the league. She has led the team in kills in four matches, including three straight to open AAC play.
Tatum is adding 3.15 kills per set at a .293 clip to go along with 0.42 blocks per set. She has led the team in kills the last three matches.
// DOUBLE THE TROUBLE
A trio of Bearcats recorded double-doubles against ECU on Oct. 9. Tatum recorded her first career double-double with 18 kills and a career-high 14 digs. Sophomore outside Shaye Eggleston notched 14 kills and 17 digs while Madden dished out 52 assists to go along with 11 digs. It marked the first time three players recorded a double-double in a single match since March 26, 2021, when Maria Mallon (14k/16d), Armania Heckenmueller (34ast/11d) and Shannon Williams (13k/10d) did so against Temple.
