ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Cincinnati women's soccer team fell to UCF 4-0 at the UCF Soccer and Track Complex on Thursday.
With the loss, Cincinnati drops its first conference match of the season and moves to 5-2-5, 1-1-2 AAC.
UCF struck first when Knights' Katie Bradley played a ball into the box that found the foot of Kristen Scott in the 19th minute. The Knights doubled the lead in the 41st minute on a deflected Bearcats' own goal to take a 2-0 lead into half.
The Bearcats' best chance of the first half came in the 24th minute when Brandi Thomsen lined up shot from right outside the 18-yard frame that was collected by the Knights' goalkeeper.
UCF added the final two tallies of the match after the break in 50th minute and later in the 87th minute.
Anna Rexford finished with three saves on the afternoon, increasing her season total to 27. Payton Hasse made her second career appearance between the frame, logging the final 15 minutes in goal.
Cincinnati was outshot 17-4 on the afternoon, only the fourth match this season where the Bearcats tallied fewer shots than their opponents.
Cincinnati remains on the road to take SMU on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 2 p.m. ET.
