CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati senior libero Payton Frederick has earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference weekly honor roll, the league announced on Monday.
Frederick, a native of Louisville, Ky., garners her second AAC honor roll selection of the season after averaging an impressive 5.63 digs per set in a 1-1 week for the Bearcats.
In UC's four-set win over Tulsa on Sunday, she registered a match-high 27 digs, one shy of her career high. She helped UC own a +16 advantage in digs (83-67) against the Golden Hurricane, who entered the weekend leading the country in the category. She was 17-of-17 on service reception and added five assists and two aces in the victory.
Against Wichita State, she posted a team-high 18 digs to go along with three assists.
