CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati volleyball team wraps up a four-match homestand this weekend at Fifth Third Arena.
The Bearcats will host Central Florida at 6 p.m. on Friday night. The Knights are currently receiving votes in the AVCA Coaches Poll.
UC will then welcome South Florida for a 1 p.m. matchup on Sunday afternoon. Both matches will be broadcast nationally on ESPN+ and can be followed via live stats.

Senior libero Payton Frederick earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference weekly honor roll, the league announced on Monday, Oct. 17. She earned her second AAC weekly honor roll selection of the season after averaging an impressive 5.63 digs per set in a 1-1 weekend for the Bearcats.
In UC's four-set win over Tulsa on Sunday, she registered a match-high 27 digs, one shy of her career high. She helped UC own a +16 advantage in digs (83-67) against the Golden Hurricane, who entered the weekend leading the country in the category. She was 17-of-17 on service reception and added five assists and two aces in the victory. Against Wichita State, she posted a team-high 18 digs to go along with three assists.

Frederick ranks fourth in the AAC in digs per set (3.83) and is averaging 4.47 digs per set in league play. She has led the Bearcats in digs in all but two matches this season.
Sophomore Abby Walker sits ninth in the league in hitting percentage (.310) and 10th in blocks per set (0.93).
In AAC play, freshman Carly Glendinning ranks fourth in kills per set (3.91) and fifth in points per set (4.25) while freshman Avry Tatum sits 10th in kills per set (3.24). Sophomore setter Emme Madden made her return to the court in AAC action. She currently ranks third in conference play with 9.92 assists per set.

Freshmen outside attackers Glendinning and Tatum have stepped up for the Bearcats in conference play, both having earned a spot on the AAC weekly honor roll for their performances. Glendinning is averaging 3.91 kills per set in AAC play – good for fourth in the league. She has recorded nine straight matches in double figures and has led the team in kills five times.
Tatum is adding 3.24 kills per set at a .269 clip to go along with 0.41 blocks per set. She has led the team in kills in four of the last five matches. She has 11 matches with 10-plus kills, including six straight in AAC play.

Anchored by libero Frederick's match-high 27 digs, Cincinnati powered past Tulsa in four sets on Sunday. The Bearcats were +16 in digs, registering a season-high 83 to Tulsa's 67. Entering the weekend, Tulsa led the country in digs per set at 19.72. The Bearcats held the Golden Hurricane to three under that. Frederick (27), Glendinning (18), Madden (14) and Shaye Eggleston (13) all finished with double-digit digs.
The Bearcats also outblocked the Golden Hurricane, 10 to four, thanks to the efforts of middle blockers Walker and Kailea Carrier. Walker hit a season-best .522 (13-1-22) with five blocks while Carrier hit .375 (8-2-16) with four stuffs.

Cincinnati split a pair of four-set home matches last weekend, falling to Wichita State on Friday before taking down Tulsa on Sunday. Glendinning averaged 3.75 kills, 3.00 digs and 4.25 points per set and registered her third career double-double with a season-high 18 digs and team-high 16 kills vs. Tulsa.
Walker averaged 2.63 kills per set at a .356 hitting percentage (21-5-45) to go along with 1.25 blocks per set. She hit a season-best .522 with 13 kills and only one attacking error on 23 attempts vs. Tulsa. The hitting percentage ranks in the top-10 in the AAC this season.
