Swimming and Diving Welcomes New Diving Coaches, Audrey Capannari and Louis Hunt

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving program has announced the addition of assistant diving coaches Audrey Capannari and Louis Hunt.

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving program has announced the addition of assistant diving coaches Audrey Capannari and Louis Hunt

"I am thrilled to have Audrey and Louie at the helm leading our divers this season," head coach Mandy Commons-DiSalle said. "I am extremely proud to have two great alumni on staff working with the team. It shows a deep appreciation and dedication for the continued success of the Bearcats swimming & diving program and their passion for the future of the program will be a huge asset for our current and future divers."
 
Both are former UC divers that have come back to coach at their alma mater as their first coaching job.
 
// AUDREY CAPANNARI
Capannari was part of the Cincinnati women's diving team from 2018-22. She was inducted into the Cincinnati Athletics' Legion of Excellence (2020) and was named Scholar-Athlete of the Week during the 2020-2021 season. She was also a member of the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team throughout her time in the program.  
 
During her final two seasons, Capannari had first-place finishes against Indianapolis, Louisville, and Xavier. She posted a personal best on tower at the 2021-22 AAC championship meet. She achieved a personal best on the 3-meter at the 2020-21 American Athletic Conference Championships, making the finals for the 3-meter as well as the tower. 
 
A native of Cincinnati, she is currently enrolled in law school at UC and hopes to continue working in college athletics after graduating in the spring of 2024.
 
// LOUIS HUNT
Hunt was part of the UC men's diving team from 2016-2019. He had a terrific four-year career at UC. At the 2018-2019 AAC Championship, he won the 10-meter, stamped third place in the three-meter, and placed top-8 in the 1-meter, ultimately helping the men's team secure the championship title.
 
Hunt earned a silver medal in the men's 3M diving (320.30) and a bronze medal in the men's platform diving (229.10) at the 2016-17 American Athletic Conference Championships. He also won the men's 3M diving competition vs. Miami (Ohio) with a score of 327.85, qualifying him for the NCAA Zone meet.
 
Hunt also spends time working at Hunt Companies and is a second-generation Bearcat, as both of his parents are UC graduates.
