CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati volleyball team opens the second half of American Athletic Conference play this weekend, beginning with Memphis at 7 p.m. ET on Friday at the Larry O. Finch Center in Memphis, Tenn.
The Bearcats will then head to Dallas, Texas to take on SMU at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon in Moody Coliseum.
Both matches will be broadcast nationally on ESPN+ and can be followed via live stats.

The Bearcats split a pair of three-set home matches last weekend, falling to UCF on Friday before taking down USF on Sunday. The Knights re-entered the AVCA Coaches Poll this week at No. 25.
UC recorded season bests in service aces (14) and hitting percentage (.320) to earn a straight-set win over USF. Sophomore outside hitter Shaye Eggleston dominated in the victory, posting a team-high 11 kills at a .588 hitting percentage to go along with three aces and seven digs.
Cincinnati enters the weekend at 6-14 overall and 4-6 in the AAC. The Bearcats have won two of their last three matches.

The Bearcats recorded a season-high 14 service aces in their three-set victory over USF on Oct. 23 in Cincinnati. Five Bearcats notched at least one service ace in the match, highlighted by four apiece from Abby Walker and Maria Tobergte.
The Bearcats' 14 aces are tied for the second-most in AAC history and sixth-most in program history. They were one ace away from tying the program's rally-scoring-era record for aces in a three-set match. It was the Bearcats' most aces in a single match since the 2008 season when they recorded 16 against Wyoming on Sept. 4, 2008.
In addition, the mark is tied for the most in the AAC and ninth-most in the NCAA this season for a three-set match.
// LEAGUE LEADERS
Frederick ranks sixth in the AAC in digs per set (3.83) and is averaging 4.23 digs per set in league play. She has led the Bearcats in digs in all but three matches this season.
Sophomore Abby Walker sits 10th in the league in hitting percentage (.308) and blocks per set (0.91).
In AAC play, freshman Carly Glendinning ranks sixth in kills per set (3.70) and seventh in points per set (4.01). Sophomore setter Emme Madden made her return to the court in AAC action. She ranks third in conference play with 9.63 assists per set.
// ROOKIES RISING TO THE CHALLENGE
Freshmen outside attackers Glendinning and Avry Tatum have stepped up for the Bearcats in conference play, both having earned a spot on the AAC weekly honor roll for their performances.
Glendinning is averaging 3.70 kills per set in AAC play – good for sixth in the league. She has recorded 12 matches in double figures and has led the team in kills five times.
Tatum is adding 2.93 kills per set to go along with 0.98 digs per set. She has 11 matches with 10-plus kills, including six in AAC play.
// SERIES HISTORY
Cincinnati is 4-11 all-time against SMU, but 3-2 in the last five meetings. The two teams split the season series in 2021, with each team winning on its home court. The Mustangs defeated the Bearcats in four sets earlier this season on Sept. 30 in Cincinnati. SMU hit .381 with 64 kills and only 11 attacking errors on 139 attempts. The Bearcats finished with a clip of .252 but hit below .200 in the first two sets as SMU jumped out to an early advantage.
The Bearcats own a 36-22 advantage in the all-time series against Memphis. Cincinnati had won nine straight against Memphis before the Tigers handed the Bearcats a four-set loss earlier this season on Oct. 2 in Cincinnati. Glendinning and Tatum combined for 34 kills in the match.
