CINCINNATI -- The University of Cincinnati men's golf team made their first signing for the 2023-24 season with the addition of McKean Collins (Lexington, Ky.).
Collins, who attends Lexington Christian Academy, as a junior and senior found replicated success in being the Individual All A State Champion, winning two tournaments over the year as well, while the team was the state runner-up. Collins earned All-Region recognition as a freshman and sophomore as well, winning another pair of tournaments too.
"I'm super excited to add McKean to our family," head coach Doug Martin said. "He brings a great junior golf resume to our program. We're excited for his future as a Bearcat."
He also won the Bluegrass Junior title as a rising junior in June 2021 and has played basketball in addition to involvement with the I AM 3RD League.
Collins comes from a golf family as well, as his father, Eric, played collegiately at Georgia Southern and Cumberlands and is currently. Collins' planned major at UC is physical therapy.
