CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati volleyball team was swept by No. 24-ranked UCF on Sunday afternoon at the Venue in Orlando, Fla.
The Knights' serving and offense proved too much to overcome as the Bearcats fell in three sets. UCF improved to 23-1 overall, 15-1 in the American while UC moved to 8-18 overall, 6-10 in the AAC.
Freshman Carly Glendinning registered nine kills with only one attacking error on 29 attempts (.276). Freshman Paige Pickering, who made her debut at setter this weekend, dished out 10 assists and had a service ace in two sets of action.
Redshirt senior Kailea Carrier posted three of UC's six blocks in the match. For the weekend, she averaged 1.43 blocks per set.

SET 1 | The Knights scored first and never trailed, taking the opening set 25-18. Elissa Alcantara scored back-to-back points and UCF had a service error to even the set at nine apiece. UCF then pieced together a series of points to own a five-point lead at 17-12. SET 3 | Eggleston notched back-to-back kills as UC trailed by two, 7-5. UCF then rattled off five straight points to force a UC timeout. The Bearcats fought off three match points before UCF won the set, 25-19. Eggleston (5) and Glendinning (4) combined for nine kills while Pickering dished out eight assists in the frame.
