The University of Cincinnati volleyball team dominated past Tulsa in three sets on Friday afternoon at the Reynolds Center in Tulsa, Okla.

CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati volleyball team dominated past Tulsa in three sets on Friday afternoon at the Reynolds Center in Tulsa, Okla.
 
The Bearcats swept the Golden Hurricane to improve to 9-18 overall, 7-10 in the AAC. Cincinnati hit a season-high .344 with 40 kills on 96 swings. UC had a season-low seven attacking errors in the match.
 
Sophomore Abby Walker registered a team-high 11 kills with only two attacking errors on 16 attempts for a season-best .562 hitting percentage. It marked her 10th match with double-digit kills this season.
 
Sophomore Shaye Eggleston posted her seventh double-double of the season with 10 kills and 12 digs. Freshman Carly Glendinning added eight kills, 10 digs and three blocks in the victory. 
 
Senior libero Payton Frederick recorded a match-high 16 digs – the most by a Bearcat in a three-set match this season. She helped the Bearcats own a +13 advantage in total digs (58-45). 

Cincinnati outblocked Tulsa, eight to five. Walker led the way with four blocks while redshirt senior Kailea Carrier notched three blocks to go along with seven kills (.429). 
 
// HOW IT HAPPENED 
SET 1 | Cincinnati went on a 7-0 scoring run to own a five-point lead, 9-4. The two teams traded points until the Bearcats rattled off six straight to claim the opening set, 25-15. UC hit .455 in the opening set with 11 kills and only one attacking error on 22 attempts. 
 
SET 2 | Cincinnati took an early 4-0 lead thanks to massive kills by Walker and Glendinning. The Golden Hurricane responded with a 5-0 spurt to reclaim the advantage (18-16). Cincinnati capitalized on late errors by the Golden Hurricane to win the second set, 25-23.  
 
SET 3 | The Bearcats jumped out to a 12-7 advantage after back-to-back kills by Walker and Eggleston. The Bearcats then scored five straight points to seal the set, 25-15, and victory, 3-0. UC had 17 kills during the third set and finished the frame on a 7-2 scoring run, highlighted by a match-point kill by Eggleston.
