CINCINNATI -- The Cincinnati lacrosse program has announced its 2023 schedule, complete with nine home contests. All are at Nippert Stadium and include free admission.

The Bearcats open their season with four-straight matches, starting with Kent State on Feb. 10. Gardner-Webb, Robert Morris and Marquette follow through Feb. 19. With the exception of the 2021 COVID-adjusted schedule, it will be the longest homestand since 2019.

UC does follow it up with three-straight on the road, however. The swing begins with Youngstown State on Feb. 22 before continuing with Ohio State on Feb. 28 and Louisville on March 3.

Cincinnati also welcomes Davidson to the Queen City for the first time on March 7 before playing at Central Michigan (March 10) and Michigan (March 12) that Friday and Sunday.

AAC play begins March 18 in Nippert Stadium against Vanderbilt before a final non-conference tilt with Butler at home four days later. Conference play resumes March 25 at Florida.

The team's April slate features consecutive weekends against Temple (April 1), at East Carolina (April 8), at James Madison (April 16), and home for Old Dominion (April 22). JMU, entering its first AAC season, went 14-5 last year and reached the second round of the NCAA Championships.

The Bearcats are led by Gina Thomas, entering her 11th season at the helm. UC returns three of its top four offensive contributors in Second-Team All-AAC performer Ava Goeller (44 goals, 15 assists), Elizabeth Murphy (14 goals, 21 assists) and Grace Wehland (20 goals, seven assists). First-Team All-Conference defender Dani Mlkvy also returns for her senior year.
