CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati's Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), Black Student Athlete Association (BSAA), and the Student-Athlete Development Academy, in partnership with the Bearcats Pantry, hosted a Food & Hygiene Item Drive last week in the Richard E. Lindner Center on campus.

In a three-day span, over 150 pounds of food and hygiene products, including canned goods, toothbrushes, and feminine care products, were collected.

"College is hard enough but when you do not have the basic necessities to survive, then it can be even harder," said Brock Shellhaas, SAAC Campus and Community Engagement Officer.

Donated items will be used for the Bearcats Pantry Thanksgiving distribution to support UC students.

"I'm just thankful to have this opportunity to be a part of something bigger than myself," added Hannah Jackson, BSAA Treasurer.
