CINCINNATI – Four Bearcats scored in double figures to propel the University of Cincinnati women's basketball team to a 99-57 win over Southern Indiana inside Fifth Third Arena on Sunday.
 
With the win, Cincinnati has now won two straight and improves to 7-5 on the season.

Head coach Michelle Clark-Heard also earned her 250th career win, becoming one of four active American Athletic Conference head coaches to reach the mark.
 
The 99 points scored is the most under Clark-Heard and the 42-point win ties the largest since the Bearcats defeated Memphis 94-52 on March 7, 2020. The Bearcats converted on at least 50.0 percent from the field for the second straight game, improving to 20-0 when reaching the mark under Clark-Heard.
 
Mya Jackson was back in double figures with a team-high 19 points, while Clarissa Craig surpassed her career-high with 15 points and added seven rebounds.
 
Jillian Hayes recorded her 11th-straight 10-plus point game with 15 points and a team-high eight rebounds, while Caitlyn Wilson added 10 more points.
 
Cincinnati started the game on a 10-0 run, holding their opponent scoreless and 0-8 from the field for the first 4:21 minutes of action. The Bearcats ended the first quarter with an 18-10 lead.
 
The Bearcats maintained the early momentum in the second quarter as A'riel Jackson jumped the passing lane for the steal and then proceeded to find Caitlyn Wilson for a deep three that extended the Bearcats' lead to 30-16 and forced a Screaming Eagles timeout. Cincinnati entered the half with a 43-25 advantage. The Bearcats are 7-2 when leading at half this season.
 
The margin would not get closer than 17 points in the second half as Cincinnati used a 11-0 spurt over 2:08 minutes late in the third period to take a 76-45 lead into the final quarter.
 
A 12-0 run sparked by six points from Sofia Gritzali gave the Bearcats an 88-47 lead with 6:20 to play in the fourth quarter.
 
The Bearcats secured their largest lead of the game at 42 points with 26 seconds left in regulation on a nifty finish in traffic from Lojain Elfatairy. Elfatairy finished with a career-high six points on the afternoon.
 
Cincinnati surpassed a season-high in free throws made and attempted, converting on 30-39 from the line.
 
The Bearcats recorded 47 points off the bench and 34 points off 27 forced turnovers.
 
Cincinnati will be back in action when the Bearcats travel to take on Northern Kentucky on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 6 p.m. ET.
