CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati football team had eight players selected for the 2023 Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List on Friday.
The list features 484 position players (non-specialists) and every player on this list is eligible to participate in an all-star game as either a 2018 high school graduate or true four-year player (with five or more games played in three previous seasons).
The 2023 Senior Bowl will be held on Feb. 4, 2023 at the University of South Alabama's Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Ala.
Quarterback Ben Bryant, defensive tackle Jowon Briggs, cornerback Arquon Bush, safety Ja'von Hicks, offensive lineman Lorenz Metz, tight end Leonard Taylor, wide receiver Tre Tucker and tight end Josh Whyle all made the list.
A school-record seven Bearcats accepted invitations to the Senior Bowl in 2022.
Cincinnati has had 47 Bearcats participate in the Senior Bowl all-time.
The Bearcats open the 2022 season on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. (ESPN) against No. 19 Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark.

Led by Fickell, the reigning consensus National Coach of the Year, and 12 returning starters, the Bearcats are the two-time defending AAC Champions and are coming off of a 13-1 season that culminated in a trip to the 2021 College Football Playoff. With a 44-7 mark since the start of 2018, Cincinnati's 86% winning percentage ranks among the nation's Top 5 winning percentages over the last four years.
While season tickets are sold out for the first time in school history, fans can still purchase single-game tickets for as low as $25. Fans can also join the waiting list for 2023 season tickets.
