CINCINNATI— The University of Cincinnati is back inside the Keating Aquatic Center on Friday, Jan. 20, as the Bearcats host crosstown rival Xavier in a dual meet.
The meet will begin at 1 p.m., with the diving events, followed by the swimming events at 3 p.m. Fans can follow the action through the Meet Mobile app. The meet will also be streamed on the Cincinnati Bearcats' YouTube channel. Stats will be published on the UC swimming and diving website at the conclusion of the meet.

A member of the BIG EAST, the Xavier Musketeers are coached by Brent MacDonald. MacDonald is currently in his 13th season as head coach at Xavier. The Musketeer men are 2-1 in duals this season, while the women's team is 1-2. The last time Xavier competed as a team was at the Cleveland State Magnus Cup Invitational, where the men's team won the meet, and the women placed third.
The last time UC competed against Xavier in a dual meet was last season when the Bearcats swept the Musketeers inside the Keating Aquatic Center. The UC men's team won 211-83, while the women's team won 191-100.
// GUBENO WINS AAC MEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
On Tuesday, junior Hunter Gubeno earned AAC Male Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season. He earned the honor for his two-event win performance against Kenyon College. This is the second time this season that he has earned the recognition. He is the first UC men's swimmer two earn the award twice in the same season since Dominic Polling achieved the feat during the 2018-19 season.
The Howell, Michigan native won both the 100-yard (49.00) and the 200-yard backstroke (1:46.36) in the dual against Keyon College last Friday, leading the men's team to a 190-to-106-point dual win.
He now has 10 individual event wins this season, with five coming in the 200-yard backstroke.

The University of Cincinnati men's and women's swimming and diving teams swept their dual meet against Kenyon College on Senior Day on Friday.
Neither UC team disappointed on Senior Day as the Cincinnati men's team won 193-106, and the Cincinnati women's team won 170-130 against the Owls. In total, the Bearcats won 22 events throughout the meet.
Leading the way for the UC men was fifth-year senior Conner Funke, who picked up event-wins in both the 100-yard (56.29) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:03.71). Funke has seven individual event wins this season, including four in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Joining Funke in earning multiple event wins were freshman Joleigh Crye and junior Jessica Davis, whom each picked up two event wins and a relay crown.
Crye's outstanding freshman season continued as she won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.26) and the 100-yard butterfly (56.40). This marks the fourth time she has won the 100-yard butterfly in a dual meet this season.
Davis placed first in both the 100-yard (52.27) and 200-yard freestyle (1:52.98). Both Davis and Crye were on the women's 400-yard relay team that won with a time of 3:30.00.
